Wood

Wood is a porous and fibrous structural tissue found on the stems, trunks and roots of trees. Wood is a natural and sustainable material that is available in many different colours, textures and sizes. It is a beautiful and warm material both to the touch and the eye. We include it in all our projects as an element that both softens and humanises modern architecture. It is an element that can be used in a myriad of ways, combinations and forms.

“We include wood in all our projects as an element that both softens and humanises modern architecture.” – Ben Kotlowitz

Featured project

House Kloof Bantry Bay features wooden elements galore. Oak timber panelling was used to create visual warmth as well as to provide texture and beauty in this spacious sea facing Bantry Bay house. Furthermore, laser cut patterned timber was used to create sliding and fixed screens which form private areas as desired.
